The Orphanage project is a fun and quick way to get involved. It is a local trip that usually requires a whole day in Mexico,a limit of 15-20 volunteers, a passport, an age requirement of 18 years and above, and also attendance to our small project meetings. We plan and take fun games and demonstrations to show and prove to the children how important and fun hygiene really is! In addition to visiting the various Orphanages in Mexico, this project strives to raise funds to help build the orphanage homes we visit. Mother Teresa once said this on the topic of services to humanity, “Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.” The thousands of children who are left on the streets living on their own or turned into Mexican orphanages everyday need us. We can help them by just loving them and showing them the true value of a real friendship. Join us in promoting the importance of hygiene as well as participating in an extraordinary service project, the iMed Orphanage Project!
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 18
• Passport
• Must be an active paid member
• Must attend project meetings (including fundraising events when possible)
